I’m honoured to share that Design Education Talks has been recognised by Feedspot as one of the Top 45 Art Education Podcasts on the web, placing within the Top 10 worldwide.
This recognition is a milestone that carries deep meaning for me, because it reflects not just the growth of the podcast, but also the growing importance of conversations around design education in today’s shifting creative landscape.
Why This Matters
Design is not just about aesthetics, branding, or technology — it is about how we shape meaning, how we communicate, and how we educate the next generation of creative thinkers. When I started Design Education Talks, the aim was simple but ambitious: to create a space where educators, practitioners, and students could come together to discuss the ideas, tensions, and possibilities that surround the teaching and practice of design today.
Over time, these conversations have grown into a rich archive of perspectives — featuring leading designers, professors, researchers, and thinkers from across the world. Each episode explores different questions:
- How can design education adapt to a world of constant technological change?
- What role do cultural context and diversity play in shaping design curricula?
- How can we balance craft, theory, and experimentation in the classroom?
- And perhaps most importantly: how do we prepare students not just for jobs, but for lives of creative contribution and critical thinking?
Being placed among the top art education podcasts in the world tells me that these questions resonate — not only with the design community but also with a wider audience of educators and lifelong learners.
Beyond One List: Broader Recognition
Alongside the Top 45 Art Education Podcasts, Design Education Talks has also been featured in two further Feedspot lists:
These distinctions highlight the podcast’s reach across different languages, communities, and contexts — something I care deeply about. Design education is not a single story told from one cultural centre. It is a dialogue across borders, where different traditions and voices contribute to a more global and inclusive understanding of creativity.
A Thank You to the Community
This recognition is not mine alone. Every guest who has joined me has brought their own insights, stories, and provocations. The podcast thrives on these generous exchanges, where ideas are shared, challenged, and reshaped.
And of course, none of this would matter without listeners — students, teachers, practitioners, and design enthusiasts who take the time to tune in, reflect, and carry the conversation forward in their own ways. To all of you: thank you.
Looking Ahead
If anything, being included in these lists motivates me to push further. Design education today faces extraordinary challenges: from AI reshaping creative processes, to the urgent need for more sustainable and socially responsible design practices, to the question of how institutions can adapt without losing their depth.
Design Education Talks will continue to engage with these themes, bringing voices from both inside and outside the academy to imagine futures for design learning that are more radical, inclusive, and transformative.

Closing Thought
Awards and lists are not the end goal — the real reward is the ongoing dialogue. But moments like this give us the chance to pause, reflect, and celebrate the power of education to change design, and the power of design to change education.
Here’s to many more conversations.
